A client from Reisterstown came to Westminster Speed & Sound in search of some new technology for her 2006 Dodge Ram 1500 truck. Our team went out to her vehicle so we could look it over and talk through some ideas. When we were finished outside, we spent time in our demo room exploring the technology options we thought would be best for her needs. Then we worked up a proposal that she liked for a Dodge Ram Android Auto radio installation, so we set a time to begin the work.
This particular client owned an Android phone, so we instantly showed her units with Android Auto technology. This allows her to harness the power of her smartphone safely, almost exclusively via voice commands. Now, everything from phone calls to texting, navigation, reminders, music and Internet radio are at her disposal. we added SiriusXM Radio as well as a backup camera and a USB port. She now has the same technology of a new Ram in a truck she already owns and loves.
Now, some of you may know that a double din touchscreen unit doesn’t fit in the dash of a 2006 Ram unless it had the factory-installed navigation system. Our fabrication team modified the dash opening to fit the Pioneer unit properly in the dash, making it look factory-installed.
When the client came to pick up her Dodge, she loved the fit and finish of our work. As we showed her all the new technology, she just nodded in approval.
