Did you know that a Compustar DroneMobile interface from Westminster Speed and Sound will let you remote start your vehicle from your cell phone? From the top of an office building in Baltimore or Washington to a beach in Hawaii, DroneMobile gives you complete control over your remote starter from almost anywhere, at any time.
What is Compustar DroneMobile?
DroneMobile is a smartphone control solution for your Compustar remote starter or security system. DroneMobile uses a cellular radio to communicate with a secure server to relay commands from an app on your Android device or iPhone to lock, unlock or remote start your vehicle.
You can communicate with and control your vehicle from anywhere on the planet, so long as you and your vehicle have cellular data coverage.
What else can DroneMobile Do?
The DroneMobile system includes a GPS receiver that sends location information back to the app on your phone. You can see your vehicle’s exact location on a map and configure alerts that let you know when the vehicle enters or exits a specified area. Speed warnings are another option: You can set the system to alert you if the vehicle exceeds a pre-set speed. Speed warnings are ideal for fleet and commercial vehicles.
You can also monitor battery voltage or check the vehicle’s internal temperature with an optional temperature sensor.
System Alerts and Long-Range Control
The DroneMobile works like a two-way remote control with nearly unlimited range. If someone opens a door and sets off the alarm, you’ll be notified with an alert right away.
In fact, many of our clients use DroneMobile as their primary means of controlling their remote starter. A secondary radio frequency remote makes a perfect backup in case your cell phone battery dies.
