A client from Hampstead came to Westminster Speed and Sound interested in a set of truck steps for his 2016 Ram 2500 Crew Cab. One of our team spent time on getting to know the client better, as well as how he used the vehicle over the course of an average week. They went outside to look over the Ram and discuss different options available for the vehicle. In the end, we suggested a set of the Amp Research 76139-01A Power Steps. He liked our idea, so we set a time to begin the installation.
As you can see in the pictures, Power Steps are unique. Under normal circumstances, they retract tight against the rocker panel and become almost invisible. When someone opens any of the doors, the steps motorize down into position in less than a second. People entering the truck now have a wide, long place to rest their foot that extends down 6 inches, making entry and exit much easier.
The steps also come with recessed LED lighting that illuminates them and the ground underneath, making it safer to enter and exit the Ram at night. Approximately 2 to 3 seconds after the last door is closed, the steps retract back up tight against the truck.
When the client came to pick up his vehicle, he loved the clean look of the steps. When he opened the door for the first time, the motorized action brought a smile to his face.
