A long-time client reached out to us, saying he had just acquired a beautiful 2024 Ford Bronco Raptor. Although it came with the B&O premium sound system, he felt it was seriously lacking in quality and output. Our team instantly knew that one of our Systems by MSC packages would be perfect for this incredible truck. We explained that the wiring integrity would remain intact and that all original mounting points would be used, to which he couldn’t agree fast enough.
Here is the breakdown of the products and audio upgrades we performed:
First, the passenger-side rear interior panel was removed to access the factory amplifier. It was removed, and a metal amp rack that bolted to the stock mounting points was installed. Three total parts were mounted to the rack: a Mobridge digital preamp, replacing the factory B&O part; a Match UP8DSP, which is an 8-channel amplified digital signal processor; and a Match M2.1 amplifier. These three parts integrated perfectly with all factory wiring connectors. The UP8DSP powered a set of Blam 6.5″ woofers that fit perfectly in the front kick panels in place of the original paper woofers. Custom mounts allowed them to bolt into factory locations and use factory wiring. Across the dash, three Helix i3 4″ coaxial speakers were installed in the stock locations underneath factory grills. In the rear, another set of i3 coaxial speakers were installed in factory spots.
The M2.1 amplifier powered a custom enclosure on the tailgate that looks like a factory option and houses a Helix 10″ subwoofer. The factory tailgate vent is reinstalled in the enclosure, and stock mounting points are utilized.
The DSP inside the amp is expertly tuned, extracting every last ounce of sound quality and output. The end result is a stereo system that makes you want to listen for hours on end.
