A local client came to Westminster Speed & Sound looking to do several upgrades to his 2018 Ram 2500 truck. One of our team went out to the vehicle and looked it over with him, spending time on getting to know how the Ram gets used over the course of an average week. We explored various options to address his ideas. When we were done, we presented a proposal that he liked, so we set a time to begin work on the truck.
We began by improving the cosmetics and ride quality of the 2500 by installing a leveling kit to get rid of that unsightly downward rake on newer trucks. Now this Ram sits nice and level. The next step was to install a set of Bilstein high-performance shock absorbers to improve ride quality and stability.
The second phase involved making entry and exit of the truck easier, which we achieved by installing a set of Amp Research Power Steps. Now, whenever a door is opened, a motorized step will drop down within a second, giving all occupants a safe and secure way to gain access to the cab. We also installed hidden LED lights to illuminate the steps and the ground below at night, allowing people to know for certain where they are placing their feet.
The final step involved adding two USB charging ports at the back of the center console for rear seat passengers. The client plans future upgrades involving a remote start and upgraded sound system.
