A repeat client from Gaithersburg came to Westminster Speed and Sound with some stereo problems in his recently acquired 2006 Toyota Camry. After running diagnostics on the vehicle’s audio system, we determined that his issue was with the factory radio. At that point, the client decided to have us replace the unit based on its age. We installed a Jensen VX7020 in-dash touchscreen navigation system as well as a SiriusXM tuner. He gained Bluetooth for music streaming, hands-free calling and a USB port to playback his portable media files.
We were able to keep his steering wheel controls for the audio system working like the factory with his new unit. Remaining plans call for adding a backup camera to this vehicle in the future.
