Here at WSS Westminster Speed & Sound we have been installing iPod integration kits in vehicles since they came out in 2001. In more recent years the requests have changed slightly as more and more people own smartphones and they want the ability to play the music on their Smartphone into their vehicle.
Good news: We have you covered. On almost all vehicles, we have the ability to install products that will let you enjoy the music on your smartphone or device in your vehicle.
Many people come to us with newer vehicles wanting this capability, but they do not want to change out their existing in dash stereo system. In some cases, it may be a vehicle where it is not practical to change it out. For these vehicles we have a multitude of solutions depending upon your exact vehicle and the device you want to integrate. Here are some of the popular solutions:
3.5mm Jack
One of the simplest solutions is to install an auxiliary input jack in your vehicle. This will allow you to plug a cable into the headphone output jack on your device and plug it into a port that we flush mount into a convenient spot into your vehicle.
Bluetooth Streaming
A step up way to integrate your music is by installing a Bluetooth streaming device in your vehicle. If your Apple product or Android phone has this capability (most do), it might be a good solution for you.
Direct Control
On many vehicles we can give you control over the music on your iPod or iPhone directly through your original stereo controls. This is not possible on all vehicles, but there are more solutions being added every day. We can determine if your vehicle is compatible with one of our solutions.
Replacement Stereo
On vehicles that have some age it might make sense to explore the possibility of replacing your existing in dash stereo system with a new one. This will give you things like an aux input, a USB input, Bluetooth streaming, and Bluetooth for hands free calling.
