These kits are designed with radio, speaker and subwoofer solutions that are specific to the X3, so you know the system will look and sound great. The packages are configured in five stages that match their features and performance levels.
Rockford Fosgate X317-Stage5
As the most popular upgrade option, the X317-Stage5 will transform your side-by-side into a rolling concert on wheels. The kit is based on the impressive PMX-2 weather-resistant media receiver. The radio includes an AM/FM tuner with weatherband, Bluetooth audio streaming and support for MP3, WAV and FLAC digital audio file playback from a USB memory stick. The radio mounts using the RFX3-PMXDK, so it looks great in the dash of your X3. The system is powered by a Power Series TM1000X5ad five-channel amp. This amp can produce 100 watts of power to each of the four speakers in the system, and 600 watts to the subwoofers.
For speakers, the Stage 5 kit includes a pair of Punch-Series 6.5-inch marine-grade coaxial speakers and a set of RFX317-FSE injection-molded enclosures that replace the trim on top of the dash. The rear speakers use compact tubular enclosures that mount to the rear of the roll cage using supplied brackets.
The icing on the cake are the RFX317-FWE subwoofer enclosures that install under the driver and passenger seats. The kit includes a pair of RM110D2B Prime-Series 10-inch subwoofers in the correct impedance to maximize the power capabilities of the amplifier.
Rockford Fosgate X317-Stage4
The Stage 4 kit is similar to Stage 5 but uses Prime-Series speakers in the front and rear. The amplifier in this kit is a Power-Series TM400X4ad four-channel unit that can provide up to 50 watts to each speaker and 200 watts to the subwoofer. Stage 4 comes with a single subwoofer enclosure that we can mount under the driver or passenger seat and still uses the efficient RM110D2B 10-inch subwoofer.
Rockford Fosgate X317-Stage3
Also similar to Stage 4 and Stage 5 is the X317-Stage3 kit. This kit uses the same front speakers and mounting brackets, the same four-channel amplifier and a single subwoofer. There are no rear speakers in this kit, but we can certainly upgrade the system in the future if you want more sound.
Rockford Fosgate X317-Stage2
Getting great sound on your X3 is easy with the X317-Stage2 kit. The PMX-2 source unit and mounting bracket install nicely into the dash, and the radio feeds a set of Prime-Series RM1652B element-ready 6.5-inch speakers. The beauty of this kit is that it can be upgraded at any time with an amp, rear speakers or a subwoofer as your performance expectations evolve.
Rockford Fosgate X317-Stage1
If you already have speakers on your X3, then the Rockford Fosgate X317-Stage1 will take care of your radio needs. The kit includes the aforementioned PMX-2 marine-grade digital media receiver and one of the RFX3-PMXDK dash kits. All we have to add is an antenna like the PMX-ANT, and you are ready to go!
