What Is the JBL BassPro SL2?
Based on a custom-tooled reinforced ABS plastic enclosure, the BassPro SL2 is designed to add bass where space is at a premium. It measures 13 9/16 inches wide, 9 7/8 inches deep and 2 13/16 inches tall. The system features a low-profile 8-inch woofer that’s been optimized by the transducer design specialists at JBL to deliver a good balance of efficiency and extension from the small design. A 125-watt Class D amplifier helps the system provide good output. Intelligent power limiters and an infrasonic filter optimize output so the sub sounds excellent, even with the volume cranked.
In terms of integration features, the inclusion of RCA preamp and speaker level input jacks makes it easy for our technicians to add this subwoofer to almost any audio system. JBL even included remote turn-on detection circuitry that will turn the sub on when you turn on your radio. Crossover frequency, bass boost and level controls, along with a phase selection switch, give us the tools to make sure the sub sounds great with the rest of the speakers in the vehicle. JBL includes a remote level control with the system that we can mount in the front of your car or truck to fine-tune the system.
