Front and Rear Speaker Upgrade
The Jeep Wrangler sound system upgrade kit includes a set of SPT-71 6.5-inch component speakers for the dash and a set of SPT-70 components speakers for the overhead sound bar. These speakers handle more power, produce better bass, and offer smoother, more natural frequency response than the factory speakers. Alpine includes mounting adapters for the tweeters. Everything bolts right into the factory locations without any modifications. Attention to detail is evident; there is even polyfill inside the speaker enclosures and quality passive crossover networks are included for the tweeters.
Four Channel, 320-Watt Amplifier
Perhaps the most important component in the Alpine PSS-21WRA system is the MRV-F300 four-channel amplifier. It is capable of producing a clean 50 watts per channel. Th is amp delivers almost three times as much power as the factory radio. The new speakers play louder and remain distortion-free at high volume levels. Alpine includes a mounting bracket for the amp. All of the wiring for the system connects to the factory radio, or to an aftermarket upgrade solution like the Alpine Restyle i109-WRA.
Compact Powered Subwoofer Upgrade
Another fundamental and essential component in the PSS-21WRA system is the PWE-S8 8-inch powered subwoofer. Adding a subwoofer to any factory system is one of the best upgrades you can make. Not only does it improve the overall frequency response of the system by reinforcing low-frequency information, but your small speakers will no longer have to try to reproduce that bass. They will sound better, play louder and last longer. The PSS-21WRA kit includes mounting brackets to locate the PWE-S8 under the passenger seat.
