A client from Baltimore, MD came to us with his 2014 Nissan Titan looking to add a bass package to the original stereo. He had nice stereo systems in the past, and even with the Rockford Fosgate “premium” factory stereo it was still seriously lacking real bass response. We chose to install a JL Audio 10TW3 subwoofer under the rear seat, powered by a JL Audio JX500.1 amplifier. We used an Audio Control LC2i interface to integrate into the factory stereo. This piece gives us a feature called “AccuBass.” AccuBass essentially reverses the fact that the factory radio turns the bass down as you turn the volume up. This factory EQ curve is there to protect the original speakers, but it’s a problem for aftermarket subwoofers. The Audio Control piece fixes this issue 100%! The addition of this Nissan Titan bass package made a world of difference for this Baltimore client. The client was very pleased with the way it sounded and the cleanliness of our installation!
