A repeat client came to Westminster Speed & Sound with his 2013 Jeep Wrangler looking to improve the quality of his lighting. He wanted to have much better visibility at night. We already knew this client well, so it was understood that he wanted top quality products. We installed a set of Vision X street legal replacement headlights. They use LED projector technology, just like modern luxury vehicles. We suggested them as they offer a tremendous improvement in night-time visibility for several reasons. The LED’s are a color much closer to the sun than normal incandescent bulbs, so seeing dark images at night become much easier. The optics of the new headlights allow for much better coverage on low beam, and vastly improved range on high beam. Vision X designs these headlights with a cast aluminum frame with a rear mounted heat sink, so they will outlast the Jeep, never needing replacement bulbs. And as an added bonus, they come with halo rings around the outside that resemble a BMW headlight, giving it a classy, modern look.
The factory installed Jeep fog lights are truly a joke. About the only thing they have going for them is cosmetics, as they surely don’t perform well. Our team replaced the factory units with PIAA LED units that fit perfectly, but give the client lights that now perform beautifully. We integrated the new fog lights so they would work with the factory switch, so the operation is the same as before. The performance in incredible, with the PIAA units flooding the road ahead with brilliant, white light that makes it much easier for the client to safely drive at night.
While we had the front end apart, we installed a T-Rex stainless mesh grille that set off the front end of the vehicle.
