Toyota makes extremely durable trucks. This is a 2011 Toyota Tacoma Access cab in which we installed a JL Audio Stealthbox. This is a unique design in that JL figured out how to give Tacoma owners rock-solid bass without losing any of the space in the interior of the vehicle. The design uses the space in the center console and a small amount outside to create a fiberglass enclosure that integrates seamlessly with the interior. It uses their 10W3-2 10″ subwoofer and includes a protective grille. The Stealthbox part number is SB-T-TACACCAB/10W3v3/DG. One important note is this enclosure can also be used in the Double Cab models if you want to preserve the storage space behind the rear seat.
You can use an amplifier with up to 500 watts of power; in this truck, we chose the JL Audio XD600/1v2 and it fit perfectly underneath one of the front seats. We also flushed an optional HDRLC bass level control knob into the console in easy reach of the driver to allow easy adjustments for overall bass level.
