A client from Cockeysville came to Westminster Speed and Sound with their 2012 Jeep Grand Cherokee, looking for some technology to make it safer to back up. After looking over the vehicle and talking through their goals, we suggested one of our parking sensor systems. One of our staff was able to give them a live demo on our interactive display. After seeing these systems in action, the client knew it was the right solution for their needs.
Parking sensors rely on sophisticated ultrasonic sensors that get flushed into the rear bumper to detect objects behind you when backing up. When you place the vehicle in reverse, the system sounds a single beep to alert the driver that the sensors are active. As the Jeep gets closer to an object, the beeping increases. It starts as a slow beep and then moves to a faster beep. At approximately a foot away, it goes to a constant tone. We love this product for its consistent operation, even in bad weather or complete darkness.
After the install was complete, our team went out to the Grand Cherokee to demo the new system for the client – and they loved it!
