A client from Finksburg, Maryland came to WSS Westminster Speed & Sound with his 2014 Jeep Grand Cherokee. He was looking for a backup camera, as his vehicle did not come equipped with one.
After looking over the Jeep together, we noticed that he had the 5.0 U-Connect radio in the dash. We let the client know we could install a rear view camera and have it display on his factory radio. He was thrilled. Different camera options were explored, decided upon, and then an installation appointment was made.
A NavTV camera was installed in the vehicle using a license plate mount, so the camera was perfectly centered on the vehicle. We interfaced the camera image seamlessly to the stock radio in the dash. Now, whenever they put the vehicle in reverse, the camera displays on their 5″ color screen in the dash. When our client came to pick up the vehicle, he brought his wife, and she loved it!
