A client from Baltimore came to Westminster Speed and Sound with his 2013 Scion FR-S, looking to add CarPlay to his vehicle. After going over the vehicle and getting to know the client’s needs, we suggested the Sony XAV-AX100. What we like about this model is its capability to do Android Auto and CarPlay. If the client moves from an iPhone to an Android phone in the future, the Sony unit will be compatible.

While we had the Scion in our bay, the technician installed a backup camera at the request of the client. Now, he can safely see what is behind him when he’s backing up, even in low-light conditions.
Once the install was completed, one of our team went out to the vehicle and showed the client how to use all of the functions. He was thrilled with the unit and remarked how easy it was going to be to use his phone while driving. He also liked the improved rearward visibility afforded by the backup camera.
