A client from Annapolis, Maryland came to WSS Westminster Speed & Sound with his 2012 BMW 328xi looking for a backup camera. We installed a backup camera on his friend’s Mercedes and he referred our current client to us. He said his friend spoke highly of our work and had been looking for someone he could trust. He didn’t mind the driving distance for us to perform the work to receive quality service. We were flattered to say the least.
Our team spent significant time on the phone with the client going over the specifics of his BMW and understanding his needs. We knew he wasn’t going to be able to stop by for a consultation in person, so we did all of our communication over the phone and via email. Once we were up to speed on his particular vehicle and needs, we worked up an individual, personalized solution. He liked our proposal and an installation appointment was set.
His 328Xi came with factory installed navigation, so we utilized that screen to display the backup camera image. A Nav-TV interface allowed us to seamlessly integrate into the BMW screen in the dash. When it came time to choose a camera, we went back to Nav-TV. We utilized their lip mount camera that has a factory fit and finish. The image quality of that camera is the best we have ever seen, so we knew the client would like it. When the installation was completed, the client was thrilled with the quality of the job and marveled at how it looked factory installed; that made our day!
