A local client stopped by Westminster Speed and Sound to discuss adding 3M Scotchgard Pro paint protection film to his stunning 2020 BMW M4. One of our team went outside and looked over the car with him and talked through all the areas where we could protect the paint. His thought process was that he wanted to drive the car the way it was meant to be driven without sacrificing the beautiful cosmetics of its unique gray paint. After our discussion, we created a proposal that he approved, so we set a time to begin working on the BMW.
Our technicians began by protecting the whole front end of the vehicle. That included the whole front bumper, headlights, and complete hood and front fenders. As you can see in the pictures, we removed emblems to have perfect cutlines for the film.
We then moved on to protecting the rocker panels on the bottom left and right side of the car, as well as behind the rear tire. The door cups, where a hand goes to open a door, could be scratched by a ring or fingernails. That problem is now solved.
We also installed door edge guards to protect the door from chips if it accidentally gets bumped into something while being opened.
Finally, we installed film on the top of the rear bumper near the trunk opening to protect it from items being loaded or unloaded.
The M4’s paint is now well-protected, so the client can focus on truly enjoying the performance capabilities of this car. When he came to pick it up, he was thrilled with the final product, and that brought a smile to our faces.
