A client from Phoenix recently contacted Westminster Speed and Sound about adding paint protection film to the front end of his 2017 Mercedes GLE400. One of our team spent significant time in going over the packages we offer, and in the end, the client chose our full package. It includes film for the whole front bumper, the leading edge of the hood and fenders, and coverage for the side mirrors. The concept behind this package is to give the SUV owner coverage on the most-vulnerable areas of their Mercedes while still having a reasonable price point. Our client really liked the value proposition of that product, so we set time to begin work on the GLE400.
If you aren’t familiar with paint protection film, it is 8 mL-thick urethane that protects the paint from road rash, minor nicks and abrasions, acid rain, etc. In short, it keeps the front end of your car, truck or SUV looking new for a long period of time, making for a high-value investment. We have had clients come to us with just over 100 miles on an odometer and a stone chip in the finish, completely deflated that their beautiful new car already has an imperfection. Fortunately, we can solve that for you.
Our store exclusively uses 3M Scotchgard Pro Series film, the best product on the market. 3M actually invented this category all the way back in 1966. As you can see in the final pictures, the only place you notice the film is from a sharp angle on the hood or fender line. Other than that, it is invisible.
