A repeat client stopped into Westminster Speed and Sound with his 2018 Toyota Avalon, looking to add some bass to his stereo system. We had previously upgraded the technology in his dash to incorporate Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, and now he wanted to start improving the sound system.
After listening to it with him, it was evident that the stereo did a poor job of bass reproduction, so that was where we suggested focusing on first. He agreed with us, so we explored different solutions together. In the end, he settled on the JBL BASSPROHUB and we scheduled a time to begin working on the car.
One of the primary reasons why we like this subwoofer so much is how and where it installs. As you can see in the pictures, it fits down inside the spare tire well and is securely held in place by new mounting hardware. The end-user gets an 11″ subwoofer with a 200 watt amplifier that can integrate with a stock or aftermarket stereo system. All the while, zero trunk or cargo space is lost. How cool is that?
