A client from Union Bridge rode into Westminster Speed and Sound interested in upgrading the motorcycle audio system on his 2014 Harley-Davidson Street Glide. One of our team spent significant time on getting to know the client, along with his goals for the upgrades. We let him listen to our store demo bike and he loved the clarity and output. He quickly decided to use us for his upgrades. At that point, we scheduled time to begin working on the bike.
Since this bike is a 2014 model, we began by flashing the factory radio to dramatically improve the sound quality coming out of it. The second step was to install an Arc Audio Moto600.4 amplifier. It puts out more than 600 watts of clean power, ensuring the rider can hear his music clearly at speed. We mounted the amp inside the fairing itself.
The second step was replacing his Hogtunes speakers with a set of Arc Audio Moto602 motorcycle-specific speakers. They have incredible clarity and reliability, and work great with the rear speakers chosen by the client.
Rounding out the rear was a set of Rockford Fosgate TMS69BL14 baglid speakers. As you can see in the images, they look factory-installed and offer tremendous output potential.
In typical fashion for our shop, we soldered all of our connections with protective heat-shrink applied for the ultimate in durability. The wiring was neatly loomed and secured, making it easy to service in the future.
The final step was tuning the amplifier for the best overall sound.
When the client picked up his bike and we cranked it up for the first time, he was all smiles, knowing he had made the right choice.
