Motorcycle audio has been a specialty here at Westminster Speed and Sound for over two decades. So while some companies are touting their skills in this area, we challenge you to ask them how long they have been in this category. Our employees are riders themselves, and we have a dedicated Harley-Davidson demo bike so you can see and hear what we can do for you.
Start With an Audio Specialist
All too often we see someone at our door with a frown as they explain that they tried using a “buddy” or a motorcycle repair facility that said, “Sure, we can install an audio system on your bike.” Many times, the quality of the equipment chosen and the poor installation work leave someone wondering why they had spent money in the first place. The good news is, it doesn’t have to be this way. Our team is made up of audio specialists. If you want a more powerful bike, we aren’t your guy. If you want some new chrome, we don’t offer it. But if you want a motorcycle audio system that sounds great, one that can be heard at speed and will be reliable for years to come, we are here for you.
Multiple Options for Playing Your Music
If you own a 2014 or newer Harley-Davidson, we can re-flash your existing stereo system so it will work great as the basis for a complete audio upgrade. Would you rather have something with Apple CarPlay or Google’s Android Auto so you can safely use your smartphone while riding? We can handle it. Maybe you have a 2013 or older Harley and would like a unit that can give you Bluetooth for music streaming or control over music on a thumb drive. We’ve got you covered. Would you like your older bike to have a touchscreen radio like the newer models? We do that as well. And what if your bike has no fairing, but you want music? We can create a system that streams the music wirelessly from your phone to the amplifier, so we have you covered there as well.
Amplifiers Give You the Volume Needed
Nowadays, lots of companies say they have “motorcycle amplifiers” or models that work well on a bike. The reality is that most of them aren’t all they’re cracked up to be. Our team has taken our 49 years of experience in business and scrutinized every product we sell. What that means to you is that our selection of amplifiers will work with your stock charging system, handle the abuse of life on a bike and give you years of quality sound. From simple two-channel amplifiers to multichannel powerhouses, chances are that we have the right solution for your needs.
Speakers Make Your Music Come Alive
The final step in building an audio system for your bike is choosing the right speakers, in the right locations, and the right quantity. For some folks, a single set of good speakers in the fairing will give them all the sound they need. What we have found is that most people end up wanting more than one set in order to get the overall volume they want while riding. For many bikes, we have options for a set of speakers in the lowers. When it comes to sound in the back of your bike, if you have a Tour-Pak, you already have speaker locations. Lots of our clients opt to have a set of speakers in the bag lids, and if that is you, we have a neat solution that many people like. One of our companies offers a kit that allows you to keep your stock bag lids and add a set of 6-by-9-inch speakers. The end result looks like Harley put them there, and you don’t need to do any paint work at all. Maybe you want rear speakers but don’t want the “look” of them in the bag lids. No worries, as we can install speakers inside your bags that fire in toward the rear wheel. We have engineered a unique solution that keeps dirt and moisture out while letting the sound pass through. Now you have a completely stealthy way to add more sound to your bike. For the ultimate in speaker upgrades, we have solutions that allow you to add a set of JL Audio marine speakers in their 7.7-inch or massive 8.8-inch sizes. The speakers themselves can go in either the bag lids or a new, compact Tour-Pak.
Add Lighting to Finish It Off
While we are audio specialists, it also makes us a specialist in wiring and finding unique mounting solutions. So if you would like to upgrade your headlight or road lights to a better performing set of LED models, we have you covered. Or maybe you would like to add accent lighting to really make your bike stand out at night. We can do that as well.
